Be aware, that each state has it's own requirements, accident ratios, population density, accident rates, credit rating (yes even that) and other items besides your driving record; which will affect the cost of the insurance. Taking a motorcycle or trike rider advanced or beginner course can lower your insurance rates with some companies. Its usually worth while to get several quotes for your insurance with different carriers every few years.

This is especially so with niche vehicles like Trike's where Underwritings opinion about the risk can change from company to company each season! With Trikes dating back to the 60's you may be able to make a case that yours is classic, or vintage. In this case one of the insurance specialists might consider it. You would have a mileage limit, like collector cars have- but we're not talking of cross country trips.
