About Me and the Better Half

I started riding motorcycles at about age 18 legally, with a license I mean. I've owned and ridden on Honda's to this point in my life, although I have borrowed the use of Harley's, Kawasaki's, Yamaha's, Norton's and a few other brands. My wife and I live in western Wisconsin, which means riding is more seasonal than anything else. As we get closer to retiring, we intend to travel more on the trike each summer.

Trike Corral Website- Why?

I built this website due to some frustration on my part in locating dealers as well as getting straight forward information on trikes. Everyone has their own opinion on what is best, Harley vs. Honda. The same is true for trike conversions too. What is right for Bob may not be what I wanted. The trike situation was unique. Ultimately, it comes down to affordability vs. features you want and features you need, a good installer/dealer you feel comfortable with.

Finding " semi-local " dealers was one of my pet peaves, when I was looking to trike my 2008 Goldwing 1800. I had a hard time finding anyone local here in Wisconsin. I searched each Trike Manufacturers websites ( I only knew the names of a few at the time); then saw where they were located. Next, go visit the dealers, trial ride and make a decision on which trike I preferred based on features, installer, reputation and more. That is why I've created this website. To help make your choice easier locating dealers and as a portal to the various trike manufacturers and their dealer networks and Much More.

I ended up having a Trikeshop/Roadsmith Trike on my 2008 Goldwing Preferred Audio, caliente red in color. Now comes the problem of deciding what options to add, and so this will continue until I can no longer ride. That ain't gonna be for a long time though.

Family

We've been married 37 years, have two kids, with three grandkids, so that puts me in the late fifties arena. I worked in the Information Technology area for about twenty years, and like so many others my job was outsourced. I now do building maintenance. It is impossible for me to walk away from being creative. I cannot work in the Cisco/Microsoft world any longer, so I turned to web creation. I build my first website in 1996 for a family genealogy project, which has turned into the #1 website worldwide for my surname. I have built several other websites as well, but only work on these three at the time. I'll list them below.
