FAQ or Frequently Asked Questions

Why don't you accept advertising to pay for your site?

I don't accept advertising, because I want this to be a fun site, helpful to as many people as I can. If I accept advertising, there is time involved with logo's, how many hits were redirected to a specific website and more. I've done this, and it takes time to administrate. I want to just add info to benefit everyone, even if they don't ride yet.

How do you pay for the website operation?

I pay for it out of my own pocket. I thought I might offer T-shirts at some point to help offset the costs, but it's a hobby for now. Maybe you've got some good non-competing ideas for me.

Why don't you sell products on your website to pay for it's operation or to make money?

I like anyone probably should. I've received so much help from the trike kit manufacturers, many, many trike dealers, and others who make the products you buy. It would not be right to compete against these folks who have helped me. I'm no competition, yet drive business there way, so it's a two way street. I don't have a ton of money to stock products, and pay for E-commerce fees. I'd be a small time peddler. If I did, I've have to do the Paypal thing.

Are you going to offer Classified Ads or a forum?

I'm working on the Classified Ads now. It takes time and I work full-time like everyone else, so it will come live one day.

Why aren't you on Facebook?

I'm thinking about it, just haven't decided yet. I'll have to speak ot the board of directors, ie. myself and see what goes.

Where do you live?

I live in rural Western Wisconsin, near a small town of Eleva. It's quiet, peaceful and I enjoy it. I grew up in Wisconsin, although I lived in southern Minnesota as a youngster for several years.

What did/do you do for a living?

Work.......Ok sort of vague. I spent over 20+ years in the Information Technology field, computers, networks, Microsoft and Novell servers, Cisco switch and router administration and what I enjoyed the most was telephony or telephony system administration. My job at a local technical college and many others were outsourced. In my fifties it's difficult to find work in that field, so I do building maintenance now.

How long have you rode a trike or motorcycle?

I got my cycle license when I was 18, so on and off now for 40 years. I've rode many bikes over those years, but only owned Honda's. I had a CB 350 Scrambler, then a 450, next a 750F which was a really nice bike. I bought my 2008 Goldwing GL1800 in March of 2009, and had it triked in May of 2009. My wife likes the ride much better than two wheels.

What if anything new are you going to do to the website?

Not sure, I'll keep the same content format. Viewers like the constant menu access, without using the back button to get anywhere.

Why don't you do flash presentations, etc.?

I can do that. I've done several things for local artists, but as I do not sell anything, I'm not sure everyone likes to wait while the flash loads and plays. I do not like landing pages, meaning you get a flash preview, then wait to get to the content.
